Hamas has submitted the names of the individuals to be returned. Israel confirms that the bodies will be handed over during the evening, "without Hamas ceremonies".
The exchange of Hamas hostages for Palestinians detained by Israel has encountered several problems recently. Israel has accused Hamas of staging propaganda scenes during the returns.
When the bodies of four hostages were to be handed over last week, it turned out that one of them was the wrong person. Israel responded by continuing to hold 600 Palestinians, who were then supposed to be released, in prison.
They are expected to be released shortly after Wednesday's handover.
