The recalled minced meat is marked with March 4 as the last consumption day and has been sold in most of Axfood's store chains but is now stopped for sale, writes Axfood in a press release.
The goods may pose a health risk, but the salmonella bacteria die at a heating of 72 degrees. No cases of illness have been reported so far.
"We take this extremely seriously, are now investigating with the supplier how it could happen and how we can ensure that something similar does not happen again", says Axfood's quality manager Susanna Wadegård.
