John Rose has sat in the US House of Representatives for nearly five years, but he has never been noticed for a speech in the chamber like this one. And it's thanks to his son Guy.
Rose, a Republican from Tennessee, stood up in Congress to condemn last week's verdict on Donald Trump, but few listened to what he said. The 59-year-old had brought his 6-year-old son to the chamber, and little Guy was sitting there.
At first, he sat quietly, but when he got bored, Guy started making faces, which the camera in the House's broadcast caught – and soon Guy went viral.
Dad John takes the attention with ease and writes himself on social media that "this is what I got for telling him to smile at the cameras and his little brother at home".
