Several people associated with IFK Göteborg have been threatened ahead of the club's annual meeting on Thursday.
"Our association is under attack", wrote IFK Göteborg in a statement over the weekend.
The police's national operational unit is now announcing that they are following the situation and other incidents in football clubs in Göteborg and Stockholm.
"We will immediately initiate an in-depth dialogue with representatives of Swedish football and the Swedish Sports Confederation regarding the recent developments", says Per Engström, section chief at the national operational unit, to the police's website.
IFK Göteborg has reported the incident to the police.
