The 21-year-old from Sjöbo competed in the Junior World Championship in Lima, Peru. There, he won a silver medal in the 50m rifle 3x20 class. The gold medal went to American Braden Peiser – with only a decimal point in the winning margin.
"Today's competition was a day where you had to work with exactly everything you had. After a good basic match with good work and a lot of wind, it was just a matter of taking everything with you into the final and trying to enjoy it," says Lindgren in a press release.
He continues:
"The final was good, I had a pulse that could be controlled and shot good shots that scored well on the board. It was just generally nice to shoot this final – and then to get paid with a medal is just a plus," he says.
Lindgren also leaves Peru with another medal in his luggage. In the team competition, it was a Swedish bronze. This together with Jesper Johansson and Pontus Kallin.
In the Olympic Games, he took silver in the 10m air rifle.
