The new album will be released on October 3, the American writes in the Instagram post that was published on the night towards Thursday Swedish time.

In an interview with the podcast New Heights that was published in parallel with the announcement, Taylor Swift tells that she recorded the album in Sweden in connection with her "The eras tour", which took place between March 2023 and December 2024, writes Rolling Stone.

I played concerts. I did like three in a row. I had a day off for three days. Then I flew to Sweden and worked on this, she says.

Besides Max Martin and Shellback, Swift herself is also involved as a producer for "The life of a showgirl".

The new album will be the twelfth for the world star. Her latest album, "The tortured poets department" from 2024, was streamed 300 million times on Spotify in one day and one billion in five days – which is a record.
