Between 200,000 and 250,000 Russian soldiers have been killed in Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, according to the latest intelligence report from the UK's Ministry of Defence.

If the figures are correct, it would mean the largest losses for Russia since World War II, reports Sky News. According to the Defense Department, the total number of killed or injured is 900,000 people.

"They are almost certainly prepared to tolerate continuously high death tolls as long as this does not negatively affect public or elite support for the war, and these losses can be replaced," states the British Defense Department about President Vladimir Putin and his military leaders' priorities.

However, the exact number of deaths in the war is unclear, as both sides are reluctant to report death tolls.
