Israel's military has not provided any details about what happened when the soldier was killed.

Two Palestinians were killed at different times during the night before Saturday. Both blew up cars near Israeli settlements and were killed in connection with that by Israeli soldiers. Hamas praises the explosions, but without linking the Palestinians to the terrorist group.

A total of 22 people have been killed in Israeli attacks on the northern West Bank since Wednesday, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Most have been killed in the city of Jenin.

Israel's military presence in the West Bank, according to Israel, is to eliminate terrorists there, but residents testify that even elderly people have been shot by snipers. Both Israel and the terrorist groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad claim that 14 fighters have been killed since the operations began.

Since then, a large part of the infrastructure in Jenin has also been destroyed by the armored vehicles that have rolled in.

At least 637 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli soldiers or settlers in the occupied area since October 7 last year, according to the UN. According to Israeli figures, 20 Israelis, including soldiers, have been killed by Palestinian attacks there during the same period.
