"I'm grateful to be able to put this chapter behind me. I hope that my experiences can contribute to inspiring other women who are also struggling with events from their past", says Abdul in a statement.

It was at the end of last year that Paula Abdul filed a lawsuit against Nigel Lythgoe for sexual harassment. These are alleged to have taken place both at the beginning of the 00s when she was a judge on "American Idol", which Lythgoe then produced, and ten years later when she was a judge on "So You Think You Can Dance".

After that, two more women sued Lythgoe for sexual harassment and harassment that allegedly took place over 20 years ago.

The British TV personality left his job as a judge on "So You Think You Can Dance" after the allegations. What happens with the other two lawsuits and what conditions apply to the settlement is not known.
