”Severance” which is broadcast on AppleTv+ is about a company that with the help of an implanted chip separates its employees' memories from work, from what they remember from their private lives. Earlier this year, it became clear that the series will get a third season.
The HBO series ”The Penguin” can also win many Emmy statuettes with its 24 nominations. The series is a spinoff of the movie ”The Batman” from 2022 and follows the character ”Oz (the penguin) Cobbs” in the struggle to take control of the criminal world in the Gotham universe.
The third most nominations have the drama comedies ”The white lotus”, which in the latest season takes place at a luxury resort in Thailand, and "The studio”, a contemporary satire about Hollywood, with 23 each.
Also noted series like ”The Bear” and ”The last of us” have won a bunch of nominations.
This year's edition of the Emmy gala, the 77th in order, will take place on September 14.
