The 14-year-old musical artist Sora Elding's contribution "Stanna tiden" and the rock band Black Roses with "Only strangers" from Malmö received the most votes from the viewers in the first round of "Hello Mello".
Thus, YouTube phenomenon Grannen Måns, Brazilian singer Valencia Montpaz, and Leon Frohm from Kalix are out of the competition.
"Hello Mello" is SVT's new melody festival for artists between 13 and 15 years old. All songs are newly written in collaboration with established songwriters, including Thomas G:son and Fröken Snusk.
In total, 25 young artists are competing in five rounds. The winner of the final will perform in Melodifestivalen next year.
