It is given that the Olympic Games medalists from Paris are included on the list of candidates for the Jerring Award.
But it is not certain that any of them will win the Jerring Award, even though it probably requires something entirely extra for the Olympic Games medalists Armand Duplantis, Truls Möregårdh, and the beach volleyball pair David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig to be overlooked by the Swedish people who vote.
The five candidates who have received the fewest votes by December 20 will be eliminated. During the Sports Gala on January 20, further candidates will be eliminated until only one winner remains.
All nominees except for the orienteering star Tove Alexandersson and the curling team Lag Niklas Edin are nominated for other prizes that will be awarded at the Sports Gala on January 20.
