AIK struck directly against Györi. In the seventh minute, Erik Flataker found Dino Besirovic, who could roll in 1–0.

A little over ten minutes later, it was time again. Bersant Celina received the ball out to the left, drove into the penalty area and placed 2–0 with a low shot at the first post.

I think we have been dangerous on the counter and have created good chances. We just have to finish them, said Celina in Expressen's broadcast at halftime.

"Satisfied"

AIK controlled large parts of the second half, but with a little over 15 minutes left, Györi managed to reduce to 1–2 via a long shot that slipped in behind Kristoffer Nordfeldt.

I'm glad we win the match, but we could have made both three and four goals today, unfortunately, says AIK's Sotirios Papagiannopoulos to Expressen.

AIK's coach Mikkjal Thomassen adds:

We are satisfied. We have a good starting position. But as the match developed, I think we should have made another goal, without a doubt. We had an enormous number of opportunities we should have taken advantage of.

Now the return match in Hungary is waiting in a week, with an advantage for AIK.

Upon advancement, Rapid Wien or Dundee United are waiting in the playoff.

Goalless for Hammarby

For Hammarby, the Conference League qualifier away against Rosenborg was a goalless story.

Hammarby started the match best and after just over five minutes of play, Sebastian Tounekti was close to running free, but the pass from Nahir Besara was too weak and the Norwegians could intercept.

A return match is waiting in a week, in front of Hammarby's home crowd. Something that Hammarby's team captain Nahir Besara believes can be decisive.

Absolutely. Home ground is home ground and everyone knows how good we are there with our supporters at our backs. It's about going out and running, says Besara to Aftonbladet.

The winner of the double meeting goes to the playoff where German Mainz is waiting.
