In February, Stephanie Venier won the World Championship gold in super-G. Now, the Austrian announces that she is ending her career.

"I laughed, I cried, I fought, I doubted. Have fallen - but got up every time", writes the 31-year-old on Instagram. In a statement published via the Austrian ski association, Venier says that "the will is no longer there".

Venier also took a bronze in team combination at the World Championship in February this year. She also has a World Championship silver in downhill from 2017.
