The Tidö parties want to call the aid agency Sida to the Foreign Affairs Committee to answer questions about decisions made when the Tidö government took office, writes the Sweden Democrats in a press release.
The Sweden Democrats refer to an article in Svenska Dagbladet and write that it has emerged that Sida, under the leadership of General Director Carin Jämtin, "made decisions that seriously complicated the reorientation of Swedish aid policy that the Tidö parties had announced". This is said to have occurred after the government formation in 2022.
"There are obvious question marks about how these decisions could be made and implemented. We must clarify in detail whether serious mistakes or political stance-taking have been made based on personal premises", writes the chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Aron Emilsson (SD), in a press release.
