The police were alerted to several explosions in the area just after 7 pm on Saturday evening.
When they arrived at the scene, passers-by had already begun to administer life-saving measures to the injured man, who is said to have been conscious at the time. Medical personnel took over and the man was later taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter.
A large search effort was initiated and the subway was temporarily stopped from stopping at Bredäng station.
Around 8:30 pm, it was announced that a person had been deprived of their liberty.
The person is under 15 years old, and has therefore been taken into care and not arrested, says the police's press spokesperson Mats Eriksson.
The police's effort on the scene continues, but it is unknown if there are more suspected perpetrators.
