There is a large, very large – and locally extremely large – risk of forest and land fires in large parts of Götaland on Sunday, according to SMHI.

People are asked to think about the fact that hazardous fires can easily arise due to, for example, burning, sparks from machines or lightning strikes.

One piece of advice is to check if a burning ban applies in your current area, and to be very cautious.

Fires that rage in cable ducts can cause disruptions to the power and telephone network, reminds SMHI.

The risk assessment applies from midnight to 23.00 in the evening.

In southern Gotland, the fire risk is estimated to be large or very large during the same time.
