Action plan required - incorrect figures
The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) has several incorrect figures in its reporting, which makes the aid efforts appear to have a greater positive effect than was actually the case, according to a report from the Expert Group for Aid Analysis (EBA), as reported by TV4 News. "For example, an effort in Ethiopia is mentioned where 40,000 jobs were supposed to have been created, when in fact only 4,000 jobs were involved.

The Tidö parties want to summon Sida to the committee
The Tidö parties want to call the aid agency Sida to the Foreign Affairs Committee to answer questions about decisions made when the Tidö government took office, writes the Sweden Democrats in a press release. The Sweden Democrats refer to an article in Svenska Dagbladet and write that it has emerged that Sida, under the leadership of General Director Carin Jämtin, "made decisions that seriously complicated the reorientation of Swedish aid policy that the Tidö parties had announced".

Head of Sida Released on Bail Amid Suspicion of Gross Bribery
A head of Sida who had been detained, suspected of, among other things, gross bribery, was released on Monday. The man, who is in his 55-year-old age group, was arrested in May, suspected of having accepted bribes in the African country where he worked as a manager or decision-maker with Sida's aid.
