Lorena Delgado Varas and Daniel Riazat are on their way to being excluded from The Left Party. Now Delgado Varas is directing harsh criticism towards the party. When Lorena Delgado Varas appeared in the parliament on Thursday, she refused to answer questions about the expulsion. Now she chooses to post the text on social media again.

"The problem is not my willingness to cooperate, but the conditions that prevail in the parliament. The work is not done through dialogue, but is characterized by bullying, freezing out and power techniques", she writes, among other things.

She criticizes what she believes is a lack of democracy in the party and describes it as party colleagues dismissing her with bullying methods during meetings.

"Unsustainable"

"The situation became so unsustainable over a period of time that the District Board saw itself forced to intervene and hold a meeting with the party secretary to stop the behavior", she writes.

She believes that she has not received any information about why she is being expelled.

The party leadership has previously, among other things, referred to a post on social media that Delgado Varas shared on April 7, where it was claimed that "Zionist Jews" control the world through control over politics and banks.

The party leadership believed that Delgado Varas had shown poor judgment on repeated occasions and that she could therefore not represent the party in the parliament. In May, she was urged to leave her assignments.

This was criticized by Daniel Riazat, who was then a member of the party board. He called the decision "one of the biggest scandals in the party's history".

The Left Party has also opened an expulsion case against Riazat, who is considered to have acted "inappropriately".

"Pretext"

On Facebook Daniel Riazat now claims that the V leadership tried to get him to resign as early as October 2023. The reason was then said to be a Facebook post about the Western world "hypocritically" regarding Palestine. The reasons given now are "pretext", according to Riazat.

The Left Party declines to comment on the criticism with reference to the fact that "the process is internal". TT seeks Lorena Delgado Varas.

Daniel Riazat has called a press conference in the parliament at 2 pm. According to SVT, Lorena Delgado Varas will also participate.
