Equivalent to approximately 25.6 billion kronor. That's how much football clubs spent in the men's international transfer window in January. It's a new transfer record for the period, according to the International Football Federation (Fifa).
The number of transfers during the period from January 1 to February 4 amounted to 5,863. That's 900 more than the previous record set last year. English clubs spent the most on transfers in January, equivalent to approximately 6.7 billion kronor.
On the women's side, approximately 63 million kronor was spent during the same period, divided into 455 transfers, according to Fifa.
