Danish police have decided to establish a so-called "staff zone" around the arena, which means that those who commit for example violence or vandalism risk a twice as harsh punishment.

It is among other things against the background of the violence from the teams' last meeting in 2019 in the Europa League that the decision is taken, the police announce. Then clashes occurred between both teams' supporters and between supporters and police.

We hope and believe that a stricter punishment zone in the area, together with our visible efforts, will contribute to preventing unrest, says chief police inspector Peter Dahl according to Ritzau.

The match in Copenhagen is played on August 12. The first match in the double meeting is played in Malmö on Tuesday.
