Umeå has bought the former Liverpool player Jordan Ibe, 29. The English winger debuted for the major club in Premier League already as a 17-year-old and was predicted a brilliant future.
He is here to show himself and get new speed, if you say so. And he knows us as a club that is very good at taking care of the person and the player. So it suits us quite well, said sports manager Adam Chennoufi to Sportbladet.
In total, Jordan Ibe has made 119 league matches for Liverpool and Bournemouth before injuries and mental illness slowed down the promising career.
He comes most recently from Hungerford Town, which he left in January.
Umeå – which is last in Superettan – has also made it clear with the Ghanaian Yiriyon Gideon. Now the club is waiting for the Migration Agency to approve the players' work permits.
