The Liberals' Simona Mohamsson will be the only party leader from the government who participates in this year's pride parade in Stockholm.

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson does not have the opportunity to participate in Saturday's parade, ”but sends greetings that he wishes all participants a sunny and pleasant parade”, writes the Prime Minister's press secretary Tom Samuelsson in a text message.

”The Prime Minister has participated in the Pride parade for several years and has, among other things, held his annual Pride reception at Sagerska this year as well”, he writes further.

Neither Vice Prime Minister and the Christian Democrats' party leader Ebba Busch will participate. On Instagram, Busch writes that she participates in Pride when she has the opportunity. ”I wish all who participate in the parade in 2025 and in the debates this year a happy and successful Pride week”.

The Liberals' party leader Simona Mohamsson will thus be the only party leader from the government who participates.

The Sweden Democrats are not welcome at Stockholm Pride since 2014. In an email to TT, the Sweden Democrats' press service writes that "Jimmie Åkesson will not participate during this year's Pride”.

Magdalena Andersson (S), Anna-Karin Hatt (C), Nooshi Dadgostar (V) and the spokespersons Amanda Lind and Daniel Helldén (Green party) will all participate in the parade. Thus, all party leaders from the opposition will participate.

Stockholm Pride is arranged annually since 1998 and is the Nordic region's largest Pride festival.
