The Swedish golf star played the second round on the Royal Porthcawl course in Wales with 69 strokes, and is a total of three under par in seventh place.

The highlight: An eagle on the ninth hole. The round also included four birdies.

Linn Grant and Anna Nordqvist are both in 19th place with –1, after playing one over and two under par for the day, respectively.

For the rest of the Swedes, it went significantly worse.

Maja Stark, who earlier this year won the US Open and then took her first major victory, played six over par for the day. She thus missed the qualifying limit of +2 by a margin, with a total of eight over par after the first two days.

Also Ingrid Lindblad (+5), amateur Meja Örtengren (+5), and Linnea Ström (+12) missed the qualifying limit and have finished playing on Royal Porthcawl.

Japanese Miyu Yamashita is playing a great game and leads with eleven under par (68+65).

The major competition in Wales continues until Sunday.
