Earlier in the summer, it became clear that Zackrisson would not continue in Leksand.
The forward had an expiring contract and according to information to Aftonbladet, it was not the club's highest priority to extend it.
The first offer from Leksand was 40,000–60,000 kronor per month – approximately one-third of the salary he had the past season.
Soon came reports of interest from hockeyallsvenskan and now it is clear that it will be Södertälje that will be the next stop in his career.
It feels like you have landed right now, says Zackrisson to Södertälje's website and continues:
I have felt fairly early that I want to continue playing, you have felt fresh in body and mind that you want to give it another chance and find a new adventure.
Zackrisson joined Leksand ahead of the 2019/2020 season and has worn the captain's armband for five consecutive seasons.
