The two best teams in the regular season stepped into the playoffs in the semifinals, and series two Västervik did so with two wins in their backs against Dackarna during the season.
But the Målilla team, series four, who knocked out Smederna in the quarterfinals, took control directly in front of a large audience, 5,232 spectators.
Dackarna won the Swedish Championship gold last season after a win against Västervik. But Dackarna have not managed to defend a Swedish Championship gold since the end of the 1950s, when they achieved three straight wins.
Timo Lahti became the best visiting rider with twelve scored points.
Series winners Lejonen took a big win over Indianerna in Gislaved, 53–37.
The home team took a five-point lead already in the first heat and would achieve two more double wins during the evening.
Home rider Bartosz Zmarzlik was the home team's winning organizer and won four of his five heats and scored 14 points.
