The associations have sent a letter to Education Minister Lotta Edholm (L) and Minister of Education Johan Pehrson (L) on Tuesday.
"We demand that the government compensates schools for the failed tests", says Anna Olskog, chairperson of the Swedish Teachers' Association, in a press release.
Anna Olskog points out that teachers in Sweden already have an overstrained work situation as it is.
"On top of that, the entire handling of the digital national tests fails – it's nothing but a failure! I both demand and expect the Swedish National Agency for Education to find a quick and sustainable solution", she says.
It was on Friday that the Swedish National Agency for Education decided to cancel the digital national tests this spring, as several serious errors were discovered, including that students' personal data in some cases leaked to teachers who should not have access to them.
