The two teenagers, 16 and 19 years old, were initially requested to be detained, suspected of involvement in the fatal shooting at the mosque in Örebro last week, which P4 Örebro was the first to report.
Now the prosecutor has changed their mind, and is withdrawing the detention request for the 19-year-old.
I have withdrawn the request because I made the assessment that he does not need to be deprived of his freedom any longer, says prosecutor Mats Ihlbom to NA.
The detention request against the 16-year-old remains, and he is suspected of murder. Prosecutor Ihlbom tells P4 Örebro that the 16-year-old is suspected of being the shooter. He denies the crime.
Previously, a 25-year-old man has been detained, suspected of murder. This man is not believed to be the shooter, but his actions "can be likened" to murder, Ihlbom tells P4.
The shooting drama occurred in connection with the Friday prayer at the mosque. A man in his 25s was shot to death outdoors and another man was injured. According to the police, there is no connection to the mosque, but rather to organized crime.
