A large water leak on Friday morning caused the entire Karlstad and Hammarö to have problems with the water supply.
By 10 o'clock, the municipality had managed to disconnect the leak, which caused the pressure to rise to normal levels and the water to return to the affected areas.
According to Pär Ungerberg, unit manager at Karlstad municipality, the leak occurred in a pipe in Klarälven.
"It's an old pipe that has burst. We have now disconnected the pipe and now the pressure will rise to normal levels again. Big thanks to several attentive Karlstad residents who contacted us who saw the leak from their home," he says in a press release.
