A man in his 80s has died after being run over when he was changing a tire on the E20 in Strängnäs municipality, the police announce on their website.
The incident is being investigated as causing another person's death.
The alarm about the collision came in to the emergency services at 9:30, reports SVT Sörmland. The police, who had been alerted that a man was outside a stationary car by the road, were on their way to the scene when the accident occurred.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries but could not be saved.
