With just over a week left until the Olympic opening ceremony, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) admits that Russia is stepping up its campaigns to spread false information about the games in Paris.

It's a campaign that's ongoing. It's neither the first nor the last with disinformation directed at the IOC. And it's becoming increasingly sophisticated, says the IOC's spokesperson Mark Adams.

Unfortunately, it's something we have to live with, part of the divided world we live in.

Due to the war in Ukraine, Russians and Belarusians are only allowed to participate under a neutral flag in the Olympics.
