The sale of water, soft drinks, and beer decreased in June. This is shown by preliminary figures from the industry organization, Sweden's Breweries.

The sale of water decreased the most, dropping by 17 percent in June, compared to the same period last year.

The sale of beer decreased by 13 percent and soft drinks fell by 12 percent.

We believe that this is mainly due to the unstable weather, says Anna-Karin Fondberg, CEO of Sweden's Breweries.

On the other hand, they expect better figures for July.

More people are on vacation in July, so I think you will see it in consumption patterns and activities, continues Anna-Karin Fondberg.

The industry organization, Sweden's Breweries, has around 30 members who together represent approximately 90 percent of the Swedish beer, cider, water, and soft drink market.
