Last summer, Refused was supposed to perform at Rosendal Garden Party with what was called "their last festival performance ever". But singer Dennis Lyxzén suffered a heart attack and the band had to cancel.

Now they write that they will do a bunch of shows in the USA in March-April 2025 and then Refused wants to end their career in Sweden. Dennis Lyxzén is recovering well, according to the other band members.

"He's one of the healthiest guys I know, he can't sit still, trains a lot and it follows that his recovery would be quick. He's received excellent care and his doctors have done all physical tests on him and they all indicate that he's recovering fully", says drummer David Sandström.

Refused was founded in Umeå in 1991 and broke up during a US tour in 1998. They reconnected and in 2012 they did a reunion tour and eventually released new music, the albums "Freedom" and "War music" and their latest EP "The malignant fire" in 2020.
