Jerry Adler, known for his role in the TV series "Sopranos", has passed away at the age of 96, writes The Hollywood Reporter.
In "Sopranos" he played Herman "Hesh" Rabkin, a confidant to the series' mafia boss Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini).
Jerry Adler was born in Brooklyn, New York, and did not start acting until he was over 60 years old. In addition to "Sopranos", he also appeared in TV series such as "The Good Wife" and "Rescue Me".
