Recordings of Netflix's hit "Emily in Paris" in Venice are paused after the series' assistant director has passed away, writes Italian La Repubblica. The 47-year-old Diego Borella passed away according to the newspaper in a sudden illness on Thursday evening.
An ambulance was called to the scene and resuscitation attempts were made, but the Italian film worker's life could not be saved.
Recordings are paused for the time being, writes La Repubblica.
The upcoming fifth season of "Emily in Paris" takes place to some extent in Venice as the character Emily Cooper at the end of the previous season has moved to Rome.
