Lasse Åberg left the practical director's work on film recordings to Peter Hald and the collaboration led to several of Swedish film's greatest successes, including "Repmånad" (1979) and "Sällskapsresan" (1980) and its successors.
During a period in the 1990s, Peter Hald was a feature film consultant at the Film Institute and supported a long range of Swedish films.
"Peter has not only meant a lot for the Film Institute and the Swedish industry, as production manager, consultant, producer, production manager. He was also a completely wonderful person", writes the Film Institute's current CEO Anna Croneman in a post on social media.
