In Sunday's debate on SVT's Agenda, the party leaders were asked a quick question about what they think about abolishing the so-called grazing requirement, i.e. dairy cows' right to graze outdoors.

The answers showed a split in the government's underlying support – L leader Johan Pehrson and SD leader Jimmie Åkesson do not want to abolish the right to green grazing, while KD leader wants to remove it.

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson chose to pass on the question, referring to the fact that it is being prepared. The investigation is currently out for consultation.

The answers from the party leaders showed that there is no majority among the Riksdag parties to abolish the right to green grazing. S, V, and MP also want to keep it.

It's clear that the cows should be allowed to graze outdoors. It's enough to have been to a cow release and seen how happy they get. How can you not grant them that? says S leader Magdalena Andersson.
