The Greek tourist island of Santorini has been hit by further earthquakes.
On Monday morning, a quake with a magnitude of 4.2 was registered at an island nearby. Over the weekend, more than 200 smaller quakes were registered in the area.
The head of the country's earthquake protection says to public service channel ERT that there is "a small risk of an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5".
Several residents and tourists have chosen to spend the night outdoors, either in their cars or at places deemed safe by the authorities. Many others have left the island by ferry or plane, report Greek media.
Rescue personnel with search dogs are on standby, while the island's schools have been closed, and residents are advised to stay away from certain built-up areas.
Santorini is one of Greece's most popular tourist islands. The island has only 15,500 permanent residents but is visited annually by several million tourists.
