The meeting takes place after a delegation from the terror-stamped Hamas has traveled to Cairo for renewed talks about a ceasefire. During Tuesday, Egypt stated that the country, together with the other mediator countries Qatar and the USA, is working to resume the plan for a two-month long ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
The meeting in Doha is the first of its kind since Israel's security cabinet last week decided to expand the Gaza war with an offensive in Gaza City.
