At least three people died when a rubber boat sank off the Greek island of Samos early on Monday.
Five people were rescued from the sea, according to Greek police. Local media reports that a search operation is ongoing for around 20 more people who are believed to have been on board.
Accidents involving boats with migrants on board occur at regular intervals in Greek waters. Samos is one of the islands closest to Turkey, from where many migrants try to make their way to Europe by sea.
