A dozen people have died after a truck crashed into a bar in the Dominican Republic, according to local media.
The crash occurred early in the morning in the city of Azua, about ten miles west of the capital Santo Domingo.
Over 30 people were injured, several of them very seriously. The exact death toll has not been confirmed yet.
According to local media, the truck was filled with avocado fruits.
The driver fled the scene, but a passenger has been arrested by the police, who are investigating the incident.
