Of these, the majority, 615 people, were killed near the controversial Gaza Humanitarian Foundation's distribution sites for emergency aid in southern and central Gaza Strip.
The rest are said to have been killed near aid convoys.
The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) – led by the US with the support of Israel – began distributing emergency aid in Gaza in May, after a more than two-month-long Israeli total blockade.
Since then, the distributions have been marked by reports of chaos, violence and deadly shootings. GHF and Israel's military have repeatedly denied that they intentionally killed those seeking help, but in several investigations, anonymous soldiers and GHF employees have testified to the contrary.
Israel's military states in a statement on Friday that they have reviewed and learned from the events, and that "instructions have been issued to the forces in the field" based on the lessons that have been learned.
