Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced during a visit to Serbia that the military cooperation between the two countries will be expanded.
Erdogan's statement was made in connection with a meeting with Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade, where the Turkish leader also praised the contacts between the two as "a golden era".
Turkey's capability regarding unmanned aerial vehicles will be part of the defense cooperation. Serbia also has such knowledge that our two friendly nations will evaluate, Erdogan said at a press conference.
The Serbian leader Vucic said in turn that the country has extended export licenses to Turkey.
On his way to Serbia, Erdogan visited Albania where he promised "a significant donation" of attack drones.
The agreement means that Ankara is strengthening its presence in the Balkans, where the former Ottoman Empire had a strong power presence for over half a millennium.
