One man has launched an armed attack on the US embassy in the capital of Lebanon, Beirut, according to media reports in the country.
A guard is said to have been shot before the military responded to the fire and wounded the perpetrator. The suspect is now described as injured and arrested.
According to unconfirmed reports, the perpetrator is of Syrian origin.
