Luleå's hockey fans are already banned from using flags and banners at home games.

Now, the SHL club is being punished with a flag ban on away games until December 5.

The Swedish Ice Hockey Association's decision came after pyrotechnics were used at the away game against Modo earlier this fall.

Luleå has also been reported for fans defying the flag ban in Saturday's home game against Linköping.

We have not decided whether to appeal the decision or not, but much suggests that we will. This is an example of collective punishment and we in Luleå Hockey think it's wrong. It's those who commit the mistakes who should take the consequences of them, says communications manager Robert Hedlund to NSD.
