A ruling by the Land and Environment Court grants Nordkalk the right to expand limestone quarrying at Forsby Quarry outside Vingåker.

The company is now permitted to extract 300,000 tonnes per year, compared to the previous 190,000 tonnes, according to Katrineholms-Kuriren.

The expansion is expected to result in a 50 per cent increase in lorry traffic in the area and the permit is conditional on the exit road from the quarry being asphalted to reduce road dust.
