For the fourth day in a row, heavy fighting and large-scale bombings are ongoing in the Shejaiya district of Gaza City.
Tens of thousands of Palestinians have fled the area where the Israeli army claims to have fought Hamas and Islamic Jihad both "above and below ground" in tunnels.
The army also reports that Israeli troops have "eliminated several terrorists, located weapons, and carried out targeted raids on combat zones" over the past 24 hours.
There are also reports of fighting in central Gaza and in the Rafah area.
The UN's humanitarian agency Ocha estimates that between "60,000 and 80,000 have been displaced" from Shejaiya since new fighting broke out on Thursday and the Israeli army issued an evacuation order.
