Hanna Öberg back – racing in Oberhof

Hanna Öberg is back in the biathlon national team that competes in the World Cup in Oberhof this week. "Some active athletes have been ill during Christmas and had to adjust their training, but now all selected skiers are healthy and ready for the year's first competitions," says the national team's head coach Johannes Lukas in a press release.

Hanna Öberg did not participate in the World Cup competitions in French Le Grand Bornand just before Christmas. She instead went home from the competitions in Hochfilzen after a tough season start.

It has not been as I thought it would be and it has not behaved as it usually does after a cold. Then I feel that it is obvious for me to go home and break this, said Hanna Öberg to SVT.

When it gets going in Oberhof this week, she is back.

"Oberhof is a track we know we can perform on after the VM 2022. Some athletes have been sick during Christmas and had to adjust their training, but now all selected skiers are healthy and ready for the year's first competitions", says the national team's head coach Johannes Lukas.

Sebastian Samuelsson and Anna Magnusson are two skiers who were sick during the Christmas break. Sara Andersson and Anton Ivarsson have been sick and started training but are not ready for competition and are therefore not included in the team.
