It is after the discussions that have arisen within The Moderate Party, The Christian Democrats, The Liberals and The Sweden Democrats after the government said that they want the EU to freeze the trade agreement with Israel to increase the pressure on allowing humanitarian aid into Gaza. Several representatives of The Moderate Party, The Christian Democrats, The Liberals and The Sweden Democrats have questioned the reversal. One of those who has directed criticism is Minister for Energy and Business Ebba Busch.
Ebba Busch has, among other things, said that the communication and reporting on the government's new line has been misleading and wants to see greater clarity on the demands on Hamas.
Emma Berginger (Green party) who is submitting a constitutional committee complaint, writes:
"I want the constitutional committee to examine Vice Prime Minister Ebba Busch's actions due to the government's new approach regarding freezing the trade part of the EU's association agreement with Israel. I also want the constitutional committee to examine whether the government's communication regarding the new line expressed by the Prime Minister towards Israel has been purposeful."
Ebba Busch has in turn written on X that the domestic political debate "has shown itself from its worst side".
"Media and celebrities clipped the quote to unrecognizability and wrote 'Israel does the whole world a favor' together with pictures of starving children. Agenda-setting and deliberately slanted. Shameful", she writes.
