Hammarby gets to open the group play in Champions League at home.

Austrian S:t Pölten awaits at Tele2 arena on October 9.

Hammarby confirms on its website that the team will play all its home matches at Tele2 arena.

The team's regular home arena Hammarby IP is not approved for European games and the alternative, if Tele2 arena had been booked, would have been Studenternas in Uppsala.

The reigning Swedish champion team got the toughest possible draw in its debut in the group play in Champions League when both the reigning champion Barcelona and Manchester City ended up in the same group.

When Uefa presented the schedule on Saturday, it became clear that S:t Pölten awaits in the first match at home.

Then Barcelona and Manchester City await on away grounds.

The home matches against Manchester City and Barcelona are played on November 21 and December 11, respectively.

Then Hammarby concludes the group play in Austria on December 18.
